SCAMPER



It is necessary to take a prepared template and a pencil. Perform Scamper questions on a given subject: replace, combine, adapt/adopt, modify, use for other purposes, eliminate, rearrange. Upon completion, evaluate the received ideas.

How can I do this activity? Steps

  • Take the template and pencil and ask Scamper questions for the product/item received:

- What can I SUBSTITUTE for something else? For example, changing the composition, packaging, even the name

- How can I COMBINE some elements? For example, Smarties with ice cream, Smarties party cookies...

- What can I ADOPT from existing ideas/objects? For example, Easter chicks = minnie smarties.

- How can I MODIFY, MAGNIFY or MINIFY my object of observation? For example, Mini/Maxi Smarties...

- How can I PUT to other use, use my product for purposes other than one intended? For example, Smarties mini eggs....

- What can ELIMINATE, remove, get rid of a quality, part or a whole of the way I work?

- What can I REARRANGE in my method?

  • Compare the obtained results with other participants.

  • Evaluate the obtained results.
