The governmental devices set up by France for a green energy

This article talks about some of the measures taken by the French government to encourage the ecological transition of energy and also to make energy accessible to all French households.

Faced with inflation and environmental challenges, the French government has decided to act by setting up a financing program to help the French make their ecological transitions with work or to lower the price of their energy bill.

One of the main objectives of the government is to replace all oil-fired boilers within 10 years by offering financial assistance to households to replace their boilers. That is 3.4 million households concerned. These are responsible for more than 10% of our consumption of oil products and emit more CO2 than gas boilers and even coal-fired power plants.

In order to support this energy transition and to fight against inequalities, the state has set up a financing aid for gas and electricity bills thanks to the energy voucher system according to the tax income of French citizens. The government initially injected 3.6 million euros into this aid program and then increased this aid to 5.6 million. Each household will automatically receive between 100 and 200 euros of aid and between 50 and 200 euros for those who heat with wood. This energy voucher can also be used to finance energy renovations.

One of the government's funding aims to encourage French households to install solar panels at home to produce their own energy. A law obliges suppliers to buy the energy produced by individuals who wish to sell it. The price of the sale is also fixed by law and is regulated. Their income increases every quarter and depends on whether the individual sells all of their energy production or just part of it. The sale is subject to a VAT of less than 10%. The installation of photovoltaic panels falls within the framework of the eco loan which allows a loan of up to 15,000 euros without interest or fees, depending on the conditions required. In addition to being able to sell the energy produced, the private individual is also entitled to an investment bonus and other advantageous aid set up by the government.

The concern is that this type of energy renovation is still too expensive and is not accessible to everyone. Only those who have the budget to invest in solar panels can afford it. The result is that the wealthiest people save money in the long term and continue to get richer by having a return on investment and then a profit from the sale of energy. As for the poorest and the middle class, they keep on suffering from the increase of the energy prices of gas and electricity. Of course, many other aids are intended for those who are unemployed or who receive the minimum wage in order not to increase the inequality gaps.

The many local, national and international actions have helped to germinate the idea of the importance of the energy transition to green energy. This has led to big changes on an international scale, especially in the policies of many countries that are moving towards green and ecological energy for the good of the planet and their economies.

Most countries have realized that investing in the production of their own renewable energies will allow them to be independent from oil countries and from the numerous energy crises that can occur. In this article we gave some national measures addressed directly to the French citizens.
