Know your carbon footprint A3 in Denizli

We met with our partners from 4 different countries in Denizli, Turkey to complete the Reuse, Reduce, Recycle activity, which is the last step of our project. On the first day of the activity we have gathered and visit some of the recycling centers in Acıpayam. The official head of Acıpayam district hosted the participants in his office and informed about the zero-waste activities to reduce carbon footprint in Denizli.


Second day at school was also very nice with so many activities. After the project management meeting, we played Kahoot to know more about countries of the partners. Lithuanian, Spanish and the French team presented their organization with using web 2.0 tools. We had workshops, to create a compost at backyard of the school. We put recycling bins and a bike rack. Turkish and Lithuanian students performed their folk dances. Also we had an outdoor education with Physical Education teacher.


On the third day we visited biogas and solar energy systems which is one of the important renewable energy. We had information on how to convert the poop to electricity. And we have observed a basic model of solar energy. Also we discussed the tips how to decrease the Carbon Footprint. Then we had an excursion to Pamukkale Travertens to see the white beauty of Turkiye.


On the fourth day of the project we had an excursion to Muğla, Fethiye.There we have seen the caretta carettas that are becoming extinct day by day. We discussed about sea, marine pollution and the bad consequences of throwing plastics into the sea. For dissemination, we took a lot of photos and post them on Facebook and Instagram pages.


On the fifth day we had our certificates. As partners we talked and discussed about the project. Participants filed out the evaluation questionnaire. We revised the missing parts together with the partners. At the end of the activity, we have shared the cultural

elements of Türkiye on our social media accounts by labeling the name of our project.
